MY STORY

Julie Jolk

I started my career in Information Technology as a software developer writing code for a product that helped companies calculate and report business personal property tax.  I worked closely alongside industries with unique reporting requirements such as airlines, telecommunications, and railroads.  Included in my responsibilities were design analysis and implementation for back-office integration with client ERP systems.

After projects as a developer, I was asked to move into a business analyst role and found my sweet spot.  I was the principal business analyst for a $4 million project where I facilitated client meetings with stakeholders and subject matter experts to establish project priorities and document requirements.  I designed user interfaces, lead user acceptance testing, and reviewed and documented change requests.

I have set up transaction and snapshot replication in MS SQL Server.  I have set up database backup schedules.  No matter the role I've held; data analysis has been integral in accomplishing my goals.  Being able to help a team or an individual express what they need and being involved with data analysis are the things I enjoy most. I have taken on several different roles as a Business Analyst, Software Developer, Database Analyst and Administrator, and IT Manager.  I bring outstanding cross-functional collaboration skills and understand what it takes to provide effective management.  I believe my unique blend of technical skills and interests would be an asset to any organization.

With 15 plus years of experience in Information Technology, I am adept at managing resources, directing daily operations, establishing priorities, budgeting, reporting, and cross-functional leadership.  In my last position, I managed infrastructure, networking, help desk, and software development; while serving as a Business Analyst.  Keep exploring my site to learn more about me, and reach out directly with any questions.
